1920 – Cleveland Indians’ Elmer Smith hits baseball’s 1st post-season grand slam
1948 – Then record 86,288 see game 5 of World Series in Cleveland
1957 – A fire at the Windscale nuclear plant in Cumbria, UK becomes the world’s first major nuclear accident
