1805 – The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts is established in Philadelphia
1848 – William & Ellen Craft escape from slavery in Georgia (She poses as a white male planter and he as her personal servant)
1854 – Wood-pulp paper is first exhibited in Buffalo, New York
1865 – James H Mason (Mass) patents the first US coffee percolator!!
